Star Sail

this is the first piece of a loong series inspired by The Verve's debut album, A Storm In Heaven. it will contain 10 works each illustrating a song and one final work illustrating the album as a whole. i don't know how long it will take but i'll definitely finish it!

why A Storm In Heaven? because it gives me strengh, it relaxes me and it inspires me. this is a project i've had in mind for a long time and i've finally found the perfect album for it.

now about this piece... it illustrates the first song on the album: Star Sail. i was inspired by the amazing atmosphere this song has. it's a beautiful shoegazer anthem with incredible guitar work and eerie vocals. i can't really describe what the song means to me. it's surreal, bleak with a touch of mystery. it just takes you to another dimension... i wish i could upload the song but it's not exactly legal. here's a 30 seconds sample. if you want to fully understand this work please listen!
